Addams Family tickets have never been so appropriate as at Halloween! Check out our Halloween Addams Family Broadway schedule and make yourself an appointment with fear…Bbbrrrrrrr!!! The kids will be making costumes and everyone will be drinking hot cider. There is a bite in the air, and the Addams Family musical is really coming into its own as we enter the chilly seasons. It has just been announced that Andrew Lippa, whose musical score is the pride of the Addams Family Musical at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, has now been commissioned to pen a new musical by Texas State University! The opportunity is the result of a new program at the school to create original musicals with real Broadway composers writing the scores. Lyricists and authors are also involved in the project. This partnership between the academic world and the commercial will surely yield some great scripts and scores, and Andrew Lippa’s will be among the best. The Addams Family composer is the first professional musical arranger to be recognized and elected by the Texas scheme. Lippa will be the 2010-2011 Composer in Residence at Texas State. The position will be a proud addition to his previous achievements, which include a Grammy nomination, a Drama Desk Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award.
No wonder Addams Family tickets are selling so well, with such a master in charge of the tunes!
As Addams Family tickets continue to be among the top three sellers on Broadway, everyone is talking about “the movie”. News is that Tim Burton has expressed interest in making a 3-D movie version of the Addams Family. Yet another version of The Addams Family, are you sure? The fact is, once Tim Burton gets his twisted mitts on our beloved Addams they’ll never be the same again. The last Addams movie to hit the box office was 1993′s Addams Family Values, so we are overdue a new film about the creepy clan. According to rumors, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski will screenwrite Burton’s Addams tale. The talented twosome also penned Burton’s 1994 film Ed Wood. Besides that, the two worked together on 1996′s The People Vs. Larry Flynt, a memorable portrayal of publisher Flint starring Woody Harrelson. Burton’s involvement in an Addams Family movie has set Hollywood buzzing, especially as it will be filmed in stop-motion animation and is to be based on cartoonist Charles Addams’ original drawings from the New Yorker magazine.
Nathan Lane, patriarch of the Addams Family, is to star in TV comedy Modern Family on NBC. The theater giant is set to play the role of flamboyant and kookie “Pepper”, a friend of gay couple Cam and Mitchell on the show. It’s not Lane’s first flirtation with TV sitcoms, as we all know, and we expect him to nail this one, just as soon as he gets some down time from the blockbusting Addams Family on Broadway. Tickets to The Addams Family Musical are selling as well as ever, and Lane must be riding the crest of the wave right about now.
The Addams Family musical on Broadway meanwhile, continues apace; the familiar theme tune from the TV sitcom sets the mood at the start of every crazy performance. Thing’s disembodied hand actually opens the curtain on theater’s most macabre family. By all accounts the set, the makeup and the characters are all spot-on and getting better with every performance, for a good play always matures like a fine wine.
Broadway veterans Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth are brilliant as Gomez and Morticia Addams, and no doubt when Lane makes the transition to TV on Modern Family he’ll be knockin’ ‘em dead there, too! Good luck, Nathan, we know you’ll be amazing!
If you are still hoping to score some cheap Addams Family tickets then you’d better hurry, as the pace quickens once again. Last month the lovable Uncle Fester, in the form of actor Kevin Chamberlain, received a high honor in theatrical and entertainment circles; he was immortalized by being featured on the wall of the renowned Sardi’s restaurant in New York City. The drawing of the much adored Chamberlain appears above, and as any NYC theater person know, having your caricature on the wall of Sardi’s is high praise indeed. The demand for Addams Family musical tickets clearly reflects the degree to which this show has enraptured the Big Apple, so it was only fitting that someone from the show earn a spot on the wall of fun. Other main cast members were in attendance, including stars Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth, to witness the historic moment when Uncle Fester joined other famous portraits on the restaurant wall. Among the celebs portrayed there are Hank Azaria, Kevin Bacon, Lucille Ball and Shirley MacLaine. If that doesn’t inspire you to go out and buy Addams Family tickets, then nothing will!
The big news right now is that Tim Burton, the man behind so many Hollywood animated movies, is considering a stop-motion animation of The Addams Family! That’s right, those Addams Family tickets you’re buying right now might just be the first link in the chain of a whole series of revivals for the production. Producer Christopher Meledandri recently stated, “It’s all very, very early, but we are developing with Tim Burton as a director in mind. We’re just now at the story phase. Stuff has been written as though we are doing it in black and white, but that’s not correct. It’s not incorrect, but it’s not correct. We haven’t gotten to that point.”
The plan is still in its early stages, and who knows if it will even come to anything but it is an exciting prospecrt for those who are currently scanning The Addams Family schedule, that’s for sure. The Burton animation will be based directly on the Charles Addams cartoon from The New Yorker magazine, which means a great retro feel to the look of things if it goes ahead. A stop-motion Addams Family cartoon would be coming along at just the right moment, so buy those Addams Family Musical tickets and let’s hope when we’ve seen the stage production we’ll have a new movie version to see, too!
As the Addams Family tickets everyone wants sell fast and the show opens on Broadway, we are seeing some great reviews. The Addams Family musical company couldn’t be better, and their individual gifts are greater than the sum of the parts. This makes for an awesome show full of the kind of spooky twists we have come to expect from this famous story. The Chicago tryout proved a massive success, and now the cast has been moved to Broadway it is shining bighter than ever. Broadway is set to become a commercial classic due to its huge popular appeal and a perfect Hollywood figurehead in Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth. The Addams Family in Chicago was good, but the Broadway production is much better. The production has been given a few shine ups here and there, and those in the know say that it is a great improvement.
The chief focus of the story is daughter Wednesday, who falls in love with a boy from a non-eerie family, and inevitably brings him home to meet her folks. As you can imagine, this runs like The Birdcage meets Frankenstein and big laughs are guaranteed. When Wednesday’s boyfriend’s family come to dinner at the Addams mansion calamity ensues, and a winning soundtrack brings things to life with gusto.

Addams Family Broadway tickets are doing so well now that a decision has been made to take the Addams Family Musical on the road in 2011. The hit Broadway production, starring Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth, begins a national tour a year in September, and New Orleans is to be the launching point! The Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts will be the venue for the 2011 run on the bayou, and you can bet that the Addams Family story will be every bit as spooky down there as it has been in the Windy City and Gotham.
The Addams Family national tour will be turning more heads than ever and Addams Family tickets will be tough to find. The Addams Family Musical tickets are selling well for several reasons, not least because of a big name cast and some great supporting actors. Krysta Rodriguez plays the Addams daughter, Wednesday, upon which the plot of the Addams Family Broadway production focuses, and she recently gave an interview to Broadway.com. In the interview, Rodriguez revealed much about her opinion of the other actors, her tomboy teens, and her background as an actress. Of her fellow players in the Addams Family she described Nathan Lane as “amazing” and “just by far the funniest human being ever”. That’s high praise from the southern Californian Rodriguez, who described herself as giving off a “Goth vibe” due to her pale complexion. In the interview she also described the mother-daughter relationship she has developed off-stage with Bebe Neuwirth. But it was for fellow actor Adam Riegler, who plays Pugsley, Wednesday’s little brother, she reserved the warmest regards. “If you make him laugh, you know you’re golden,” she said. “He’s hysterical. He’s also my favorite person in the building.”
Getting up on stage with Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth cannot be an easy task for a young actress, but it looks like Rodriguez has risen to the role perfectly. The Californian with the edgy vibe and the wealth of acting experience says she has finally found a role that really feels like her own. “When you’re singing somebody else’s music, it’s like wearing someone else’s clothes; you can tell it’s not yours. This feels like mine,” Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez also mentioned how those original Addams cartoons appealed to her for their dry wittiness. Her sense that New York was in many ways a home to her, rather than her native California has certainly not helped, either. Addams Family tickets send you into the heart of yet another Addams drama. In the musical, Wednesday meets and falls in love with her first real boyfriend, and the resultant confusion at her change of sentiment resounds through the mansion; she no longer teases and tortures brother Pugsley (played by Rodriguez’ chum, Riegler) and even feels somewhat motherly – a totally unexpected development for the freaky family.
Addams Family musical tickets are selling as well as any on Broadway right now, and the Addams Family schedule is set to run all the way into 2011. If you’re a fan of Addams Family mayhem, then head for Broadway and experience a dash of the macabre in your life today!
