This new series is hosted by Jujamcyn Theaters President Jordan Roth and will feature discussions on stage with various Broadway stars. Addams Family Chicago tickets are expected to be selling like hot cakes, when the show, based on the peculiar family of macabre characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams, comes to the Windy City. The Addams Family Musical Chicago is scheduled to run from November until January 10, 2010. The production is to be staged at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts’ Oriental Theater, prior to opening on Broadway in the spring of 2010. Casting for The Addams Family will be announced soon, as Chicagoans anticipate yet another great Broadway success in their city. Addams Family Chicago will be directed by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch, based on a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. Music and lyrics are by Andrew Lippa, and choreography is arranged by Sergio Trujillo. Lighting by Natasha Katz and musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell rounds out the list of those involved off-stage for this most horrible of musicals – horrible in a good way, of course!
