As Addams Family tickets continue to be among the top three sellers on Broadway, everyone is talking about “the movie”. News is that Tim Burton has expressed interest in making a 3-D movie version of the Addams Family. Yet another version of The Addams Family, are you sure? The fact is, once Tim Burton gets his twisted mitts on our beloved Addams they’ll never be the same again. The last Addams movie to hit the box office was 1993′s Addams Family Values, so we are overdue a new film about the creepy clan. According to rumors, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski will screenwrite Burton’s Addams tale. The talented twosome also penned Burton’s 1994 film Ed Wood. Besides that, the two worked together on 1996′s The People Vs. Larry Flynt, a memorable portrayal of publisher Flint starring Woody Harrelson. Burton’s involvement in an Addams Family movie has set Hollywood buzzing, especially as it will be filmed in stop-motion animation and is to be based on cartoonist Charles Addams’ original drawings from the New Yorker magazine.
