The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, NYC
Well, kiddies, it’s that time of year again; when the full moon throbs in the sky while bats whirl dangerously and the pumpkin pie smells divine! Addams Family tickets have never been so appropriate as at Halloween! Check out our Halloween Addams Family Broadway schedule and make yourself an appointment with fear…Bbbrrrrrrr!!! The kids will be making costumes and everyone will be drinking hot cider. There is a bite in the air, and the Addams Family musical is really coming into its own as we enter the chilly seasons. It has just been announced that Andrew Lippa, whose musical score is the pride of the Addams Family Musical at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, has now been commissioned to pen a new musical by Texas State University! The opportunity is the result of a new program at the school to create original musicals with real Broadway composers writing the scores. Lyricists and authors are also involved in the project. This partnership between the academic world and the commercial will surely yield some great scripts and scores, and Andrew Lippa’s will be among the best. The Addams Family composer is the first professional musical arranger to be recognized and elected by the Texas scheme. Lippa will be the 2010-2011 Composer in Residence at Texas State. The position will be a proud addition to his previous achievements, which include a Grammy nomination, a Drama Desk Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award.
No wonder Addams Family tickets are selling so well, with such a master in charge of the tunes!
